The Bamboo Society's Plant Sale will showcase some of the best tropical  bamboo from around the world.  Bamboo can be divided into two types, runners,  which are invasive and grow in cooler climates and clumpers, which are  non-invasive and grow best in sub-tropical climates such as South Florida.

Bamboo is known for its  aesthetic beauty and captivating look.  In private gardens, landscape designers and collectors of the elegant vegetaion use bamboo to create privacy, shade, and as  sound barriers or wind breaks. Bamboo is also an  ecologically sound choice for planting in deforested areas because of its fast  growth rate and high carbon dioxide absorption rate.
